COESIA Group, through its sister company G.D, has acquired SASIB S.p.A from Paritel Group.

SASIB, based in Bologna and active in the tobacco sector, is a historic trademark in the packaging sector. Founded in Bologna in 1915 and with a turnover of 19 million Euro in 2010, Sasib is dedicated to the production of automatic machines for the tobacco industry. It has a large installed base, made of makers and packers, in various world markets. In the last few years, under the Paritel management, the company has developed innovative competencies and technologies.

The acquisition will allow G.D to count on a wider range of technological platforms able to satisfy the customers’ needs in this specific sector of the global market.

SASIB will continue to operate in its Castelmaggiore (Bologna) headquarters and will remain an independent company, but will benefit from the worldwide G.D sales network.
