G.D has scored a world record in technology: the new cigarette maker G.D 121P has achieved the production of 8.1 million cigarettes per eight-hour shift, over forty consecutive shifts. The G.D 121P maker is the first machine in the world to be qualified for an output of 20.000 cigarettes/minute.
The test was carried out in one of the most advanced tobacco production factories in the world, under strict protocol conditions. The results of the test further consolidate G.D's position as world technological leader in cigarette making and packing lines and definitely prove the innovative engineering capacity which has always been a distinctive character of G.D. "The excellent teamwork carried out by technicians of different nationalities was another factor contributing to the full success of the project", Marco Casiraghi, CEO of G.D and of COESIA Group says.
