G.D has recently signed a contract with a leading cigarette manufacturer for its Asset Protection Service (APS), extending the coverage to complete both make/pack lines and the medium production capacity range.

After the first APS was supplied for the H1000 back in 2004, and the widely consolidated success of this service for all the high-speed packers, G.D has further extended the APS coverage to also include maker lines and its medium production capacity machine lines.

APS contracts make G.D responsible for significant aspects of machinery operations in the cigarette manufacturer’s factory. Such responsibility, customised to meet the particular manufacturer’s requirements, includes preventative maintenance, excluding day-to-day routine operator servicing; the management of spare parts inventories, including those parts used in day-to-day operations; and breakdown repairs which go beyond the competence of the manufacturer’s technicians.

In this way G.D can offer high levels of production stability that will follow through to become savings in costs for the manufacturer.
