The start of 2009 marked the successful conclusion of the Qualification Test for the G.D 121A maker line, in production at 12,000 cpm at the Japan Tobacco MTC plant in Tokyo. This test is carried out by JT each time they decide to adopt a new type of machine.

From January 13th for 13 consecutive work shifts, the 121A line achieved an efficiency of 95.2% with only 0.74% percentage of rejects. Testing was done with three different brands and the 121A line proved its excellent adaptability in handling different types of products and its flexibility in changing brands.

The great results attained in this test were achieved under most stringent acceptance parameters as the ones set by JT, thanks to the very constructive support received by the JT personnel, who has been teaming up with the G.D technicians in an extremely effective way.
