On March 16, 2009, an important test was positively concluded at the Japan Tobacco International manufacturing plant in Trier (Germany) with the new H1000/W1000/BV machine line, demonstrating excellent results not only in terms of efficiency, quality and rejections, but also in flexibility and ease of brand change.

Starting on February 16th, for 40 consecutive production work shifts, the complete G.D line achieved an efficiency of over 92%, with rejects running at less than 0.15% and with both packet and carton quality conforming to the most severe standards ever applied to-date in the world of tobacco.
