G.D Indonesia: an expansion process

G.D has been present in South East Asia since 1997 when the Singapore branch was opened, and since then it has established a firm presence and gradually built on it in terms of both organisation structure and workforce. Following this, the Gresik plant was opened in 2003 in Surabaya, Indonesia's second largest city, the aim being to mirror the operations of the Singapore office. This growth in operations has led to a similar expansion of the G.D workforce and their relative skills, allowing the company to deliver an increasingly expert technical support service, which has been assigned local machine servicing tasks, from machine care to refurbishment to full rebuilds.

The latest step forward in the expansion process was the opening of a new plant in Spring 2010, near the existing one and adding to it.

With the new 2,000 m2 site, the Gresik plant now extends over a total surface area of approx. 3,000 m2, where the cigarette maker department occupies a significant part.

G.D Indonesia has a workforce of more than 40 people, including technical and commercial staff.
