G.D - Coesia to acquire Instrumentation & Tobacco Machinery

At the beginning of June 2017, G.D - Coesia has announced the acquisition of the Instrumentation & Tobacco Machinery business currently owned by Molins PLC, subject to customary pre-closing conditions.

The Instrumentation & Tobacco Machinery, form Milton Keynes (United Kingdom), with its 2016 revenues of approximately GBP 40 million, is represented by two main trademarks Molins and Cerulean, which will be transferred to G.D as well as the acquisition will be completed, becoming  part of Coesia Group.

Under the brand name Molins is the division of the design, development and manufacturing of secondary tobacco processing machinery, while, under the brand name Cerulean, is a leading player in process and quality control instrumental and analytical smoke constituent capture machinery.

Molins PLC, an international group, listed on the London Stock Exchange, following the transaction, will retain its business in fast moving consumer goods, healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors, offering packaging solutions and aftermarket services.

Through the acquisition of the Instrumentation & Tobacco Machinery business, G.D strengthens its leader position in the tobacco machinery industry while increasing its product offering in the instrumentation segment.

Acquiring Molins means for G.D to count on the support of a consolidated company in  order to further enhance its portfolio in the tobacco machinery market.
