From a history of philanthropic activities towards a vision of community welfare
Since the early 1970s, the Seràgnoli family, through G.D, has distinguished itself by establishing, promoting and providing long-term support to local organisations of primary importance in the fields of healthcare and medical sciences:
the Institute of Haematology and Medical Oncology "Lorenzo and Ariosto Seràgnoli" in the S.Orsola Malpighi University Hospital
the department of Paediatric Oncology and Haematology L. Seràgnoli in the S.Orsola Malpighi University Hospital
the MariaTeresa Chiantore Seràgnoli Foundation, which operates in the Palliative Care sector with the aim of responding to a community need. The Foundation promotes an integrated model including assistance, education/training and research for incurable patients.
In order to promote new projects in the healthcare sector, in 2002 the G.D shareholder created the Isabella Seràgnoli Foundation
Over the last few years, G.D has opted to support cultural initiatives, social care programs and educational and research projects, affirming its commitment to the community welfare.
In 2011, the project that had the greatest impact was the creation of the Villa Sant'Angelo Polyclinic in the Abruzzo region to aid the victims of the earthquake.
